One of the first questions that we get asked when a new customer contacts us about custom bandanas is if we offer a Custom Bandana Template. I typically answer that we do and it’s simply a 22″ x 22″ square. But I’ve learned over the years that what the customer is asking us for and what they really need are two different things. In terms of a template, what most customers are looing for is an existing pattern that they can modify to make their own, vs. a template or shape.
In the cut and sew industry a template typically refers to the pattern of the design, i.e. what shapes the fabric is cut into before they are made into the final garment. And while that is important for a cut and sew bandana, it’s often not helpful for the customer. What our customers want is a head start. How To Use Custom Bandana Templates
Here are a few things to consider when using these free bandana templates.
#1. These are in vector format. Vector format allows us to scale your bandana appropriately and not lose any quality. When using these files, please keep them in a vector format. You can export them as .EPS, .SVG or .AI make sure to keep them out of raster formats like JPG, BMP, TIF, PNG or GIF, these types of files won’t work for your project.
#2. These are simply “templates” you have an unlimited number of options within a square. These files are designed to just help you get started. Feel free to remove or add any elements, change any color and resize any element. As long as the file is exported as a vector (.EPS, .SVG or .AI) we can use it for your custom printed bandana project.
#3. Keep your color choices creative! Just because we’re showing you these templates on Red Bandanas, Black Bandanas or Blue Bandanas doesn’t mean that you have to stick with that bandana color. We offer a wide range of bandana colors for you to choose from! Also, while most of the designs are 1 or 2 colors, feel free to design in up to 4 colors.
